“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change”

- Carl Rogers

LCSW, ACC, OICC certified coach

Welcome fellow human. We all have our stories and our journeys. I share some of mine here so you can understand a bit about the human I am as well as the trained practitioner.

My life and my work are intertwined as my robust and ongoing educational pursuits, my personal healing journey, my constant curiosity about all things human and mystical, and my relentless pursuit of what it takes to create a meaningful life and live out our dharma (our truth) all combine.

I love to partner with my clients and facilitate their realization that at the core of their being they are whole, strong, and resourceful and that they already possess so much of what they have been seeking outside of themselves. I support clients to find and connect to safety in themselves so they can feel safer to explore life.

Along with facilitating clients to more self awareness and sustainable change through supporting their nervous systems and their emotional regulation for increased capacity to deal with all that life brings, my work is about post-traumatic growth because although we are effected immensely by our personal and systemic traumas, we are not our traumas. We can experience change when we approach our lives and the conditioning we have taken on, with care and curiosity. My work is also about integration by bringing in movement, embodiment work, and mindfulness and spiritual practices. We are complex beings and a truly holistic approach is what I’m about. I tend to call what I do “therapeutic embodiment coaching with a mystical twist”

I work with clients via video all over the country and world and I have a thriving practice doing work I love with fascinating humans. (find testimonials here).

I love the work that I do and I believe that support is so vital to our well being and growth. I have been a licensed LCSW for about 15 years and am a trained and certified Ontological Coach and more recently a certified Organic Intelligence coach. Along with that, my training spans from traditional therapeutic psychology topics such as attachment styles and wounds, trauma recovery, as well as mindfulness and spiritual practices and cognitive-behavioural tools. I am a bit of a brain and nervous system nerd as I have learned personally and professionally that working with our biology is an important part of our healing and our growth. I have an MSW from NYU, am certified as an Ontological Coach, have and continue to study with Organic Intelligence, Movement for Trauma, and IFS as well as energetic practices such as Reiki. I consider myself an autodidact (one who self educates) as I love to continue my studies on an ongoing basis. This all benefits my work with clients as I am able to “listen” to them body, mind and soul and help them learn to do the same for themselves.

Whatever has brought you here, whether it be symptoms like a disconnection from self, feelings of anxiety or uncertainty, challenging empathic and HSP symptoms, or a desire to live more truthfully, you are not alone. I too have had, and continue to, work with my own symptoms and patterns from my history and from being in a human body at this time in history. These patterns have changed, they have eased and I learned to relate to them in a new way. I learned to really care for myself and all of my wonderful and messy parts along the way and this care and attunement has increased my capacity in all areas of my life. My clients find much of the same for themselves.

In my experience there tend to be many causes of our symptoms including a history of developmental trauma, complex ptsd, overwhelming HSP stuff or a wake-up call from our soul. Just living in the world with all of the uncertainty right now can be overwhelming. My curiosity and my work is not about fixing but about relating. How we relate to ourselves and our experiences - ALL of our experiences - is key to how we relate to others and the world. My mission is to help you create a better and safer relationship inside and out and to notice along the way the shifts that are happening.

And that is where my personal story comes in. Like many of us, I felt broken and “unfixable” for most of my life. I couldn’t seem to get it right. I looked at the world and other people as if they all had some manual about how to do this thing that I didn’t get. I felt challenged in most areas of life and had some pretty deep self-hatred and a lot of difficulty in relationships and in actualizing the changes I wanted to make. I often couldn’t even tap into what I wanted for myself. I was disconnected from myself and life more often than not and it felt impossible to feel ok. I struggled with depression, hopelessness, emotional dysregulation, eating disorders and anxiety and felt alone most of the time. I later came to understand that these were patterns that many people will come in contact with at some point in life whether they have come to a crossroads and desire deep change but feel stuck, have complex PTSD, developmental trauma, ungrounded HSP systems and un-boundaried empathic qualities or more. I was also a very empathic and spiritually connected being who knew in my heart and soul that there was some connection to self and spirit that was a vital part of my path. This is some of my story and path. You have your own and your own way of being in the world. That is what I am here to support you with.

Through experiential work, training and learning I was able to turn from a fixing mentality to learning about my own body, mind, emotions and how my system was relating to my environment and what information my emotions, my body, my psyche and my spirit were giving me and figure out how to best tend to them. Most humans feel these feelings at some point or another and we all need support at points in our life.

From my experience and perspective as well as some good brain nerd learning- the lense needs to stop looking for what is wrong with us, as many of us innocently do in an attempt to help ourselves feel better, and start looking towards how we can support ourselves and our well being, and recognize our inherent goodness and strengths.

When I started to learn about how our biology (our nervous system, our survival instincts, our conditioned reactions) are often running the show and very much affecting our emotional, mental, psychic and physical well being, I began to find some relief and some more ease and connection and joy in my life. This is important! We need to find a way to turn towards what is good, right and strong about us. We all deserve to feel the sun on our face, the goodness of life and a connection to self and others.

Please note that while I am a licensed practitioner, I do not do traditional therapy. I have found that my own work and journey, has called for a more human lens rather than a diagnostic lens, and a partner and fellow human to be heard, seen and empowered with rather than a hierarchy where I supposedly know more about you than you know about yourself. You might not yet have access to your own empowerment and wisdom but it’s there and we’ll find it together.

I offer free consultations to discuss how we can work together so feel free to reach out and Schedule a Consultation or Contact Me. I look forward to speaking with you soon!
